Delete your CanvassCommand account

CanvassCommand, the canvasser app for field campaigns ยท Last updated: October 23, 2026

You can ask us to delete your CanvassCommand canvasser account and the data that goes with it at any time, whether or not you still work for the campaign that gave you the account.

How to request deletion
  1. Email info@canvasscommand.com with the subject Delete my CanvassCommand account.
  2. Include your CanvassCommand username, your full name, and the campaign or organization you canvassed for. Do not send your password.
  3. Because canvasser accounts have no email address on file, we confirm the request with your campaign's organizer before deleting anything. We will reply to tell you the request was received and again when it is done.

We complete deletion within 30 days of confirming your request. You can also ask your organizer to send the request for you.

What is deleted

What is kept, and for how long

WhatWhy and for how long
Hours worked The dates, clock-in, clock-out and break times and hours of each shift, with your name but no location, so your campaign can meet payroll and wage-record laws. Kept for up to 3 years from the shift, then deleted.
Voter contact records Contact results, survey answers and transcripts from doors you knocked are the campaign's records about voters, not about you. We remove your name and account from them, and they stay with the campaign only while it has access to its voter file, as described in our privacy policy.
Backups Copies of deleted data in our database provider's automatic backups are not edited. They expire on the provider's backup schedule and are only ever restored to recover from a failure.

We may also keep information when the law requires it, for example to answer a legal claim. We will tell you if that applies to your request.
